Stan was both a rugby and cricket man, playing 1st team rugby in the late 60s through to the 70s, until hanging his boots up with the 4th team. Stan also played cricket for the 2nd team into his fifties, alongside his son, Chris.

Stan's Funeral service will be held on Thursday 15th September at Park Wood Crematorium, Elland at 12.00 noon, followed by Cleckheaton Sports Club.
